On 29th of December Smt. Drakshayani Kalyanshettar Public School hosted its 15th Annual Sports Meet  VIJETA 2023- 24 (High School Session at 2:00 pm)  at BDK expansive ground, Shantapuram Layout served as the venue for the day’s event.
The event saw the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest Mr. Shivanand  M Gunjal, (International disabled athlete coach), Chairman of J.K education society Mr. Jagdish Kalyanshetter, Principal Mrs. Indira Vijay Kumar, Vice Principal Mrs. Anjana Kurdekar, Academic Counsellor Mrs. Sushma Kulkarni and a large gathering of Parents, press, media, and children.

A day filled with fervour and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers.
The students of Secondary and High School participated in the events and surprised the audience with their skilful performance; Pom Pom, Bamboo, Bat-Ball, Zumba, Sports Themed dance added beauty to the event.

The Chief Guest Mr. Shivanand  M Gunjal addressed the children to take up sports as it is not only required for fitness and well being but also excellence in sports itself has many avenues.
He also provided information that sports help us in leading life the right way. He also stated that for the school like Smt. DKPS, the emphasis on sports the all round development of the children and the extra - curricular activities is what is going to make them the wholesome citizens of our country and good leaders in the future, efforts taken by the entire team.

The Chairman Mr. Jagadish Kalyanshettar appreciated the involvement of students in the event. The most awaited moment witnessed was loud cheers during the prize distribution ceremony of all the young sports winners.
The day concluded with the Vote of Thanks and National Song.

 It was a day filled with colourful presentations & pleasant memories.
